Customs Statistics of Tea Imports of China, Jan.-Dec.,2017

  The customs statistics show that, the tea import of China in January-December, 2017, registered 29,000 ton, and the import value reached USD 150 million, with an average price of USD5,021/ton, a YoY increase of 31.21%, 33.88% and 2.04%, respectively.

  Of which, the black tea import stood at 25,000 ton, with a value of USD 106 million, a YoY increase of 31.95% and 30.43%, respectively, the average price kept at USD 4188/ton, a decline of 1.16%; green tea import stood at 2152 ton, with a value about USD 11.79 million and an average price of USD 5483/ton, a YoY increase of 33.98%, 44.68% and 7.98%; oolong tea import stood at 1840 ton, with a value about USD28 million and an average price of USD 15215/ton, a YoY increase of 20.95%, 56.36% and 29.28; scented tea import stood at 153 ton, with a value about USD2.53 million and an average price of USD16542/ton, a YoY decline of 27.35%, 27.82% and 0.64%, respectively; Pu'er tea import stood at 93 ton, with a value of USD0.266 million, a YoY increase of 186.06%, 47.36%, respectively, the average price kept at USD 2850/ton, a decline of 48.49%.

  Sri Lanka, India, Taiwan, Indonesia and Kenya rank top five in our tea imports.
